A blue-and-orange modern house on a hillside outside Dripping Springs, built of plywood, steel and glass by an architect friend of ours.

The living room is lined with bookshelves, the kitchen is long and bright, and a roof deck looks out across the live oaks toward the hills. One bedroom with a king bed and a sofa bed for a third. Wineries and swimming holes are a short drive in every direction.
