A 1940s cabin among sugar pines on Tahoe's quieter West Shore, restored with a new kitchen and two bathrooms but keeping its knotty-pine walls and big stone hearth.

A short path leads to a shared pier on the lake. Homewood's lifts are four minutes by car, and the bike trail to Tahoe City starts at the end of the road. Sleeps six across three bedrooms.

Fine for a night or two. The photos make it look bigger than it is, and the mattress in the second room is tired.
